At lunch, we serve delicacies for businesspeople and travellers: simple and unpretentious but paying great attention to every special detail. In the evening, we stretch the limits of time and space to offer our guests a sensory experience
from the small appetiziers to the sweets.

At Escale tradition blends traditionally with modern accents.
The unique spiral staircase exited as much as the old Täfer with the silver-plated ceiling trim.

Thanks to the generosity of the room, the orientation of the tables promises complete privacy.
Furthermore, we have the opportunity to perform events up to max. 70 people.


The new building is a precisely cut stone construction with a very special atmosphere due to a generous fireplace and a breathtaking chandelier made of 1500 Swarowski crystals. The monolith is glazed on two sides, bringing the beautiful panorama of Lake Constance and the surrounding nature even better.

The monolith promises a cozy ambience with its round tables.
We have the opportunity to perform events up to max. 36 people.

Kitchen / Passageway

The main point of the house is the kitchen. The kitchen is conscious located in between of the two restaurants.
By the way: if you would like to have a look over the shoulder of August Minikus and his team,
you are invited to visit them in our open kitchen.

Panorama-Garden / Terrace

What a view! In good weather, you can see clear across Lake Constance to Friedrichshafen while to the east the view stretches far into the Vorarlberg. While the last of the snow is still glinting on the peaks of the Appenzell Alps, the rape fields and apple trees are already in bloom around the house. The establishment’s panorama garden is dedicated to the magnificent local flora. Fresh herbs are growing in our house own herb garden.
On balmy summer days we prepare your table on our terrace.


Your hostess, Luisa Minikus, is personally responsible for the quality of the hotel’s wine list. This qualified sommelier ensures a well-balanced blend of popular brand wines and less well-known high-quality wines which are just as pleasant on the palate. Alongside one of the best selections of Bordeaux in the country, she also proposes wines from Switzerland, Italy Spain and further afield. Boasting a state-of-the-art humidity and temperature regulation system, the Mammertsberg cellar comprises approximately 500 different Positions.

Guests can choose from a varied wine list catering to every budget as well as a selection of quality wines by the glass served according to the season and the culinary offerings.
